Aspects of IELTS

IELTS (International English Language Testing System) four language skills

Listening

In this section, candidates listen to recordings of native English speakers and answer questions. The recordings include conversations, monologues, and discussions.

Reading

Test-takers read a variety of texts and answer questions based on the information presented. The texts may include articles, advertisements, and passages on academic or general topics.

Writing

This section involves two tasks. In Task 1, candidates interpret and describe visual information, such as graphs or charts. In Task 2, they write an essay in response to a point of view, argument, or problem.

Speaking

The speaking test assesses the ability to communicate verbally. It consists of three parts: an introduction and interview, a short speech based on a prompt, and a discussion.
